Just wondering if I can buy a computer in American, then bring it back to Europe, and it still would be functionable? I will be staying in America for a year before I head home, so I know the laws/ regulations. Just wondering if it actually would function, and if there are any changes that I need to make sooner or later?
One more thing .. how much do they cost in The States? Looking for a laptop, with enough GB so that I can store my music and pics. Nothing fancy needed.

If it is a desktop you will need a voltage converter to power it when you come back (or change its PSU on your return), but if its a laptop the power supply will almost certainly be multivoltage. Also remember the DVD may be region locked to region 1, which is no good for the UK.
Do remember, though, that it may be liable for duty and VAT on your return (I think it classes as a personal possession after 1 year and avoids this). Keep the receipts.
